A group farewell-card product for coworkers: create a board, invite the team, collect messages through a share link, and deliver a thoughtful reveal.
The job
When a coworker leaves, somebody has to collect messages from the team without turning a thoughtful gesture into an administrative project. The product reduces that coordination to a create-first flow and a shareable signing link.
What I built
- A no-account contribution flow for invited teammates.
- An organizer workflow for creating, inviting, monitoring, and delivering a board.
- A locked recipient reveal after delivery.
- English and Mexican Spanish experiences.
- Explicit failure states and copyable-link fallbacks when email delivery fails.
Why it matters
The technical stack is only useful because it supports a sensitive human moment. The hardest decisions were about friction, trust, tone, and what not to require from a contributor.
What is live: a no-account contribution flow connecting the interface, API, database, email delivery, GIF search, and bot protection in one deployed product.
What it taught me
A small product can demand more judgment than a large technical demo. Emotional context makes every unnecessary step feel heavier, so the product has to be direct, resilient, and quiet about its own machinery.
