The daily feed and signal engine behind the Alpha One workflow, connecting research inputs, portfolio context, scheduled operation, structured exports, and published briefs.
The problem
A daily investment workflow is not one model call or one script. It has to gather inputs, understand whether the market is operating, produce consistent outputs, preserve state, and publish only the information intended for the public website.
What I built
- Scheduled daily feeds and signal-generation workflows.
- Market-aware time windows and duplicate-run protection.
- Portfolio context, status checks, and defined data exports.
- A dedicated export for Alpha One rather than direct coupling between the private engine and public website.
- A repeatable brief-publishing workflow.
The systems lesson
Reliability often comes from the unglamorous boundaries: when a job is allowed to run, how it confirms that it already ran, what happens after sleep or network failure, and which data is permitted to cross into a public product.
What stays private: signals, parameters, instruments, credentials, and other implementation details that are not needed to understand the system.
What it taught me
Automation becomes trustworthy when it can explain its state. A schedule, an export contract, and a status command can be as important as the intelligence inside the system.
