Quantitative system · Live record
Alpha Quant
A systematic, long-only momentum strategy presented through live equity and drawdown, closed round-trips, a daily dispatch, and a 10-year backtest versus SPY.
The problem
Backtests are easy to narrate and difficult to evaluate without context. Alpha Quant pairs long-run research with a separate live record, current drawdown, closed round-trips, and a dated dispatch.
What I built
- A public equity curve and drawdown view for live outcomes.
- A closed-trade record and consistency reporting.
- A 10-year backtest shown separately from live performance.
- A daily dispatch that describes posture without exposing positions or strategy logic.
- Server-side subscription and intraday-quote helpers around an otherwise static site.
The credibility choice
The site does not collapse research and live results into one number. It labels the record, exposes drawdown, and keeps the boundary between published outcomes and private implementation explicit.
What is public: dated data, closed outcomes, risk context, and a separately labeled ten-year research history.
What it taught me
Credibility is partly an information-design problem. A clear label, an honest comparison, and a visible drawdown often communicate more than an additional performance statistic.
Alpha Quant is shown as a software and research project. Nothing on this page is investment advice.
